Emerge 2010
The first annual Emerge fundraiser for Caldera took place July 17th 2010. A true gala event, with Namuh playing a big role in the event’s success.
The show was not only about raising money and awareness for Caldera, a local non-profit dedicated to youth art mentoring, but was also to celebrate the launch of joblab.com, the web’s premier source for finding and posting creative jobs.
Namuh Design’s role in the show was two fold, first invited to be one of five local up and coming creative businesses to showcase their work. The Namuh team was also asked to provide lighting for the entire space, including a runway fashion show.
After months of planning building up to event, the weekend of the show was non-stop, with the Namuh guys working until 1am the night before the show. The task of lighting Sandbox Studion was not small, in addition to that, Namuh Design set up a podium displaying their work.
The show went off without a hitch, everyone had a great time and all for a great cause. The highlight of the show, besides the Namuh lighting, was definitely the Sofada runway fashion show. Sofada’s Fall 2010 line looked really good and all the models were great.
Namuh Design would like to thank Walker-Macy, the west coast’s finest landscape architecture firm and Globe Lighting for their generous donations. Also, a warm thank you goes out to the team at The Program Management and Joblab.com for inviting Namuh Design to be part of such a great event. See you next year. -

The Medusa Floor lamp.
Namuh Design teamed up with Vanillawood, a local Portland design build firm, to create this custom floor lamp inspired by our Medusa chandelier. The project was exciting for Namuh because it gave us a chance to further explore one of our most interesting pieces.
This is our first venture into the world of floor lamps, look for more floor lamps from Namuh Design in the future.

Namuh brightens the Anka Gallery on First Thursday in April 2010.
Namuh Design was the natural choice for Jason Ball Interiors when picking an accompaniment to his unique take on interior design. As the only locally produced and craft-design lighting company, Namuh was capable of working very closely with Jason Ball to satisfy the precise demands of interior design.
The Interior’s New Clothes, the result of Jason Ball’s installation, was unveiled on April 1st at Anka Gallery. The First Thursday crowd was enamored with the clothing-themed interior, featuring hand crafted hats as table settings, dresses like wall paintings and six custom Namuh Design lights.
Namuh wishes to thank all involved for including us in this successful event. The next showing at Anka Gallery is Saturday April 17th 3-6pm for a wine and cheese gathering. -
The Tilt pendant is a further exploration into simple design. The Tilt provides diffused lighting with style as it hangs at an angle giving you functional task lighting.
At Namuh we are continually looking at previous work, inspirations and “happy accidents”. The Tilt series is the organic growth of a product as it moves from tiny seed to functional object.

Namuh Design proudly donated the suspended runway lighting for a Haiti relief fashion show fundraiser at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon.
Namuh thanks our friends at Seven Planet who connected us to the show and the chance to give back to the people of Haiti, who continue to struggle following their devastating earthquake.
The Namuh crew knew right away we wanted to be part of something like this; an event for local designers and artists to showcase their work while giving the proceeds to the people of Haiti.
Namuh’s lighting, while simple, accented the runway perfectly. The lights really filled the space with draped fabric, which created a warm, fashion forward feel.
Thanks to everyone involved.
